It's 8:30 AM. You've been awake for a while, but you're still in bed — running through the list. Get up. Bathroom. Work out. Shower. Coffee. Get dressed. And that's before the actual day starts.
You can't move yet.
I'm Jiyong Kim — violinist, CPA, and founder of Kaper LLC.
My path looks scattered from the outside. Music, then philosophy, then accounting, then Fortune 150 supply chain, then this. But somewhere along the way I learned that preparing a Tchaikovsky concerto for performance, passing four CPA exams, building a dashboard that actually tells a story, and simply getting out of bed in the morning — they're all the same habit.
Kaper LLC is named for my daughter — and for the belief that the tools we build should feel as alive as she does.
Every product we make starts from the same place: the moment before something begins. The silence before the first note. The stillness before you lift the blanket. The pause before you open the spreadsheet.
We build for that moment.
I live quietly in Cincinnati, Ohio with my husband Andre and my daughter Kaper.
